And perhaps a feature to subscribe to a certain tag, instead of users?

  • 152

Borks You can already subscribe to tags. I just haven't gotten around to properly styling the tag view yet, so the button isn't very prominent.

About the search-sorting dropdown, that's a select element which can't be styled with css. I'll probably replace that at some point though, then it should look better.

    • No more "status: true" messages! (ok, maybe one or two stragglers)

    • Untagged list: http://alpha.wallhaven.cc/wallpaper/untagged Untagged list will contain wallpapers that were tagged a long time ago until another tag is added.
    • Option to open walls in a new window (http://alpha.wallhaven.cc/settings/browsing)
    • Click to zoom on wallpapers!
    • Links to user/collection/tag that you've subscribed to!
    • Updated staff panel very few of you will ever see!
    • And a few other changes here and there.

Let us know what you guys think of the layout changes (home/profiles) and whatnot!

  • 154

    holy cow this is amazeballs!

love the new homepage, and also love the search bar now too, and having a bar at the along with the search results to filter content, so awesome!

  • 155

In profile header, add the possibility to drag&drop the wallpaper for optimum display (like facebook allows you to)

  • 156

I smell updates. Keep up the good work! :)

  • 157

Hey guys, the "Alpha" tag at the bottom right gets in front of the "contact" link for me [1920x1080 or 1680x1050, chrome, firefox and IE{shivers}]. Definitely not a major problem but I thought you should know. Btw loved the option do open walls in another window. (:

  • 158

Can't wait for the final version to go live and a forum to be set up. Would love to see the WB community here!

Like the new update. I have a few suggestions:

-When it comes to homepage walls, the number of walls displayed should adapt to the resolution we are using. For example: I have 1920x1080 and those wall thumbnails are in 3 rows: 7-7-4. -This should also apply for when browsing walls. The last row on the first page will have 4 thumbs instead of 5. This should also adapt to the resolution automatically. -Add an option for "at least" resolution. To be able to browse specific resolution OR bigger. -When uploading, category "porn" should be renamed to something else. Like NSFW, etc. -Browsing option to sort by the number of favorites. I believe it is not working properly. They don't sort by the number of favorites. -When browsing. What is sorting by "Relevance" supposed to be? Kinda unclear...

Hi, Firefox (28, latest), font-awesome symbols won't display right - I see a lot of "unrecognized unicode" rectangles. Adblock, Noscript and ghostery are all disabled. How can I help to debug this? Heiko

    With the firefox html inspector I see (example, for the "Latest button"): Element: <i class="fa fa-lg fa-clock-o"></i> CSS from font-awesome.min.css line 4, displayed as "unicode rectangle", \ f 0 1 7 in the CSS: Pseudo-Elements .fa-clock-o:before { content: ""; }

Hey, a quick suggestion. Could you move the add to favorites button out of the side bar. I tend to keep the sidebar hidden and I don't really like the fact that I have to first unhide it, add the picture to favorites, and then hide it again each time.

  • 162

With Firefox 29 this issue seems not to exist.

  • 163

    Bukssna:

    • I guess it makes sens on the startpage, I'll see if I can do some js magic there (not a priority though ;D)
    • not in the regular wallpaper listings though. there are way too many factors playing into how many wallpapers will fit into one line and it really doesn't matter if there's a different number in the last line of a page.
    • 'at least' search settings are planned.
    • 'porn' will be renamed, obviously ;D
    • dunno about that, search engine isn't my thing
    • relevance indicates how precisely it matches the search term. exact hits come first, partial hits later.

hhman: Can't reproduce that. This sounds more like an issue with loading the actual font file. Try clearing your browser's cache.

GamingFTW: Stuff in the sidebar is almost definitely going to get changed around a few more times. I'm thinking about making some kind of compact tools-menu which may or may not be inside the sidebar. I'll keep your comment in mind but I'm not making any promises. x)

So, at least in my browsers it seems like all of the wallpapers have disappeared. Did the database get wiped?

Also, were you planning on implementing ssl support into the site?

As per the favorite button debate, I think a cool idea would be to add a favorite button next to the maximize button for the sidebar. Maybe a little star just below the maximize button.

Love the site so far, and keep up the good work.

  • 165

I can't see any either wallpapers either.

  • 166

Investigating the issue now. Looks like there' some funkiness going on with the server.

  • 167

It seems Noscript blocked netdna.bootstrapcdn.com but didn't display it readily (because it wasn't javascript but Css). Still trying to understand the issue. Maybe part of the Ant-XSS protection. Worth keeping in mind if others should have issues.

  • 168

Open the wallpaper > from Tools click the Star > then click Remove Favourite > you get 'status: True' message.

  • 169

I like the design of this website are doing a good job i hope soon final the version : )

  • 170

lurker: wipe is still a little while away. ssl support doesn't really make sense since certificates are quite expensive and we aren't exactly handling sensitive data.

hhman: noscript is quite aggressive. In my case it actually hides individual icons from the fontawesome set (the social media ones). So yeah, it does read css as well.

LWTBP: those {status:true} aren't really bugs, more of a TODO. It means there's still some frontend stuff missing to deal with them. So no need to report them (yet).

  • 172

I like the new home page its pretty sweet lol. Yay spinny things!!!

  • 175

Rage: yes, all images and probably users as well will be lost after alpha. Everything should stick around once beta is a go.

  • 176

ahh, might have already been asked, but when the beta goes live, will this domain go from alpha.wallhaven.cc to beta.wallhaven.cc, or have you already got a separate beta.wallhaven.cc domain ready to roll?
