Ap0rd: I think his real name was Banach Przemek, someone on Wallbase got his facebook profile link along with some other stuff but everything got discarded as he made no effort to contact anyone or make some sort of announcement. I don't think he is dead, but Wallbase is, and you'll just have to deal with it. :P

#57: Nudes will be allowed, however hardcore porn will still be forbidden. We'll have to figure out a better plan for the "porn" board.
#58: No comments on walls. There will be very little legit use for this and would just clutter up the view and encourage spam.
#60 - 61: We may see about tweaking the header around. The logo at least may or may not be solid yet. As for the missing thumbs, that happens when we have a hiccup server side. Usually caused by a high server load. This won't be a problem in a later version of the site (and even less so once we move over to the actual server).
#62: I don't want to encourage people ripping walls from other sources. Would not having a URL upload help that? Not a ton, it will just add an extra step to the process. But even still, we aren't an image hosting platform, so I don't want to encourage uploading like we are.
#64: We'll have a bit of "history" up on an about page sooner or later. We'll provide what happened as far as we're able to tell there (and will respect everyone's privacy.
#65: So long as it follows the same rules as normal porn uploads for now (non-harcore images) you'll be safe.
We're still not totally sure what will happen with the current alpha site once we move to beta. So I don't recommend getting to comfy (a ton of time and effort) just yet.
I found that if you try to add a favorite to your -root- folder it does not work. Also, favorites folders should be able to be created on the spot to put pictures in while looking at the pictures.
Making a favorites folder and then trying to favorite wallpapers works though
are wallbase wallpapers all ok or some are not?

It's not here in this form to attract people, it's here like this in order to give feedback, all the wallpapers from wallbase will be put up here, that's when the site goes into function and all the people make the jump to it.
In terms of features it's already superior to wallbase, just needs to be all worked out, and wallbase was by far the best site of it's kind imo, I still keep finding stuff I like after 6 months without new uploads.
Anyway, I am really looking forward to this, I was really sad about happened to wallbase.
i noticed that when i found a picture that had tags/keywords on it and i clicked the tag/keyword to search for that specific tag or whatever, the search page just returns black, but i get all the links at the top of the page, just thought id let you know.
The tag view pages will be included in the next site update (sometime within the next week or so I hope).
Searching for tags does work, just enter the tag in the search box.
I prefer to click on a thumbnail and have it open into a new tab so that I dont lose my place on the previous page. If I scroll through lets say 200 wallpapers and click on one i dont want to lose my place on the main search page. Opening into a new tab solves this.
It would be nice to be able to add images to favorites directly from the scrolling image page. Right now it seems as if you have to click open every single image you want to favorite, which does get a bit tiring.
@DamienC Our goal is not to "piss off wallbase." Most of us are from wallbase (I've been a Mod for a few years). The fact is wallbase is dead. We don't know what happened to yotoon (wallbase owner), and the site has been degrading for over half a year now. It sucks to see a great site go. That's where we're coming in. We hope to be a good replacement.
As for the current (alpha) site, we know we need a lot of work. Hence "alpha." I hope to be pushing a decent update soon. But it's been getting harder to get things done lately.

We do have a huge collection from wallbase. We still need to get it processed and brought over. Right now we're focusing on getting the site functional and will get to that sometime by Beta.
As for your settings problem, the search bar settings are for that page load/search only. If you wish to keep NSFW enabled, check your Browsing options in your settings panel.

Another thing: You shouldn't be counting profile views when you visit your own profile!
I think it is wonderful that this is kept going, whether from Wallbase or not. The quality is great, clan and the variety great I would like to see the preference settings be more solid. I have a certain resolution that I use and I want once set for it to stay that way. Other than this my ht is off to those responsible. Please lets keep the support strong.
Old wallbase.cc web app opened wallpapers in a new window so you didnt loose your place in the jquery scroll... VERY handy for those long sessions of time wasting!

crcarlsontech I suggest getting in the habit of either middle clicking or ctrl clicking thumbs. I'm told _blank is "is satan incarnated."
Though we'll probably expand the browsing settings to include an option to open thumbs in a new window later on.
The site is now running on the second alpha update! Yay!

I'm loving what you are doing. Here are a couple of questions and suggestions. -Search Feature for the Comments Section. (Helps us from posting the same questions over and over) -Can we upload multiple pictures?! -After Favorating a picture, I cant move that picture to a different album/folder. -Pictures seem to expand only to the window's borders. Will there be a zoom to the Actual size feature?!
