marissa Most of your questions are about things that are still far ahead. For now we are focused on necessary features, including forums (see http://alpha.wallhaven.cc/development).

• You can't register an account if the name already exists in any *case variant. There is an integer ID, it's just mostly hidden (check your avatar file).

• Ads and donations are mostly up to Aksumka since hes paying for the server. I do believe we'll be conservative about running ads as long as we can afford it without them.

• Custom css sounds like fun though I'm not sure I'd want to clutter the settings with it. For now the templates are changing a lot anyway, so ask again later ;D

• Those resolutions are just a quick collection of what came to mind. We're gonna improve the list once we have forums and can get some propper feedback on them. Portrait + Multi-screen search is planned.

One of the beefs I had with Wallbase was the sorting of latest. Sorting was by when the image was upload, not when the image was approved. This meant that new images you had no seen were mixed in with images you had already seen.

It appears that wall haven is following this same sorting method. I propose it be sorted by date/time approved in descending order.

zippzap Not sure what you mean. We don't have any sort of "approval" system. Walls on the latest page are already sorted by when they were uploaded.

Wallbase had some sort of approval system because I asked why when I went to the site that to view the latest, and then go back and view the latest, hidden among the images I had already seen previously, where new images. The answer was, they had not been approved yet, but later approved and thus they show up further down in the "latest" mix even if it was uploaded 2 days ago.

I have noticed clicking on "latest" I am seeing different images show up that I haven't seen previously beyond images I've already seen, but perhaps checking ALL the buttons at the top (the 6 main ones) renders different results (doesn't show ALL images). I don't know. So if you have no approval system here then it must be how what categories they fall into and got changed. Hmm... I don't now. Without seeing the queries then I'm really pulling at strings. :)

If you have filters set and someone updates a wallpaper, then yea you'll see it show up "later."

Same was for wallbase. We never had an approval system there either.

This has been there since the first time I came here, but didn't say anything because I figured it was on your TODO list and may be. But, since its still there, I will give you a heads up. The best way to explain it was to do a video of it.

What's interesting is in the video, display artifacts show up that I don't see visually, which are the dashed horizontal lines flashing across large chunks of the web page. But what I was capturing was the dark opacity boxes that show up when I mouse not just over the icons, but in various areas around the buttons too.

zippzap: While safari generally sucks as a browser this appears to be a webkit rendering glitch. I found some workarounds that may or may not work, you'll see it in the next update.

well,i have added like 3 wallpapers but did someone delete them ? is there a way to know if someone deleted them ?

darkdemonkouki, Checked the logs, don't see anything removed for you. Your stats were a bit off, so I forced a recalculation.

i'll just re-upload them then.

eum.... now when i try to re-upload the 3 wallpapers it gives me a message saying that they already exist ,so is there something wrong ?

darkdemonkouki Which wallpapers are you missing? There are three anime wallpapers among your recent uploads that are flagged sketchy, maybe your filter settings are hiding them from you?

Thank you guys so much, I know this is only the alpha version but honestly there is no where I would rather be than here for wallpaper. I really appreciate everything you guys are doing. If there would be anything I could help you guys with just let me know and I will make time to give back whenever I can.

the latest update is cool, but i now have trouble adding any new tags to the system on a wallpaper ive uploaded, i tried adding a tag to the art & design -> Digital, whenever i attempt to add a new tag, an error box comes up and just says "oops, something went wrong".

I really like the fading in of the wallpapers!!!
