Can there be an option for "at least" when setting the resolution in user settings? My monitor is 16:9 and 1920x1080, so I'd like to see all wallpapers in the 16:9 ratio at least and larger than 1920x1080.
Guys, I clearly understand what alpha is, but steel don't forget of performance please! Scrolling down about 20-25 'pages' and browser says it's gonna hang. :)
We could do with an area when the full site is up and running where users can go and see what they can help out with around the site. This could include filling in under tagged images, flagging repeats/broken images etc. I've seen this implemented on some other image sharing sites. This has an awesome community so it could only be of benefit.
Exactly this.
People don't bother with tagging because they know its going to be wiped anyway. So I hope people will tag their walls better when we reach beta status.
It'd be good if you could make that page doesn't list same wallpapers more than once, even if they're different resolution. For example, if you click on that specific wallpaper it opens it in new window (like in old wallbase) and on the side lists available resolutions for that picture. Here's sreenshot of what I'm talking about, in case you didn't understand me. :P
I'm not the only one observing the lack of tags on many wallpapers.
Couldn't we have achievements like on wallbase ?
It could be a way to push basic user like me to add tags every where ;)
whismerhill: that just looks like a weird edit to me.
douko: the search function will be improved to allow options like that.
Insomnium: there is always a point where the browser will struggle to render a long/content-heavy page, but we are looking into optimisation.
gazmiller: if we don't already have an area for untagged walls - I forget sometimes - we will in the future.
cyrain: we'll force minimum tags per upload soon enough, which is at least a start.
Jesterhead: alpha will be done when it's done, but there are some pretty crucial bits like a forum and proper dupe detection before we're even close to ready for it. Trust me, we're eager too - I get itchy wondering how long everything will be temporary.
matts Your Firefox is still blocking some stuff (FontAwesome), do you have NoScript or something similar installed? By default it does not block those things.
Imagine some sort of download option which include all your favourites photos on to a RAR file, boom, your collection is on your harddrive. From the WallBase days, i had like 4000 photos i wanted to get all those on my HD. So instead of download every photo seperatly, some sort of shortcut download would be kewl.. pees
@harshzalavadiya: we have no plans for any apps just now. Once the site is done, we might put together an API, which would make it easier for other developers to make their own apps.
