@LightningReturns: there absolutely are rules for uploading: http://alpha.wallhaven.cc/rules

Nortrom: if it's cartoonish then sketchy would be fine, but if it's at all graphic then NSFW.

mcclma: this may be because the search function still has a fair amount of work needing done on it, but try logging out, clearing the cache and logging back in again.

Findarato: I've not heard of this happening before. The devs should have a better idea but have you tried clearing the cache?

tidbit: I've changed the categories but we don't currently have a minimum tags per upload rule in place. This and other things will change once we leave alpha and things are here to stay.

When you guys get around to it I would love to see the top list/top rated feature return, probably in the beta and/or full site when its done.

I'm looking forward to the future of this site and wish you guys all the best!

  • 811

Yeah, the toplist feature would be great!

  • 812

trusttt Crash6710 The search needs some work under the hood. Once that is done we'll tackle the top list plus better search settings for resolutions.

    vaiium: no. "softcore" only.

Remember, we are a wallpaper site. Not a porn dump.

  • 817

Uses the tags for a specific image and creates a search based on them.

  • 818

Just like wallbase had, is there any way to do this? I seem to only get just the -exact- resolutions I pick rather than everything equal to and above

  • 819

How about re-implementing the home page with hexagonal thumbnails like it was in wallbase. Or make it an option for signed-in users I like the new design though :D

  • 820

I get an error when I attempt to add a tag (with an "Alias tag").

  • 821

It would be really good if I could enter a minimum resolution and view all wallpapers >= that size.

  • 822

Profile Views or Wallpaper Views is incremented by just refreshing the page.

  • 823

would like to see the related images if possible but its looking good so far & as many others have said tops rated was awesome

  • 824

cfunk I have tried the site in both the latest version of IE ,firefox and chrome. The same thing happens. All with clean cache.

nessabomb: this kind of feature will probably come around once more basic things are in place. For now, search for a tag's walls from its page to see related tags.

FuNiOnZ, negativeone: as mentioned, the search function will be much improved in the future.

AgEnTx19: we mostly feel like the hexagons were a bit cluttered, but the home page has gone through several face lifts already so it could well change again. As for adding tags, is it the generic "whoops" page you're seeing? The tag might already exist (we're still tweaking things like that) or maybe contained invalid characters.

remzaki: this is pretty common with counters. There's not much potential for abuse with those either.

Findarato: strange... I'll let the devs know.

    Hi there,

The blacklist feature is great! One improve that I have for you is that if a tag is blacklisted, all subtags should automatically be blacklisted as well.

For example, if you have a tag "dogs" then under "dogs" you might have the tags "terrier" "german shepherd" and "laborador". It follows that if you blacklist the tag "dogs" that all three subtags "terrier", "german shepherd", and "laborador" should also be blacklisted. Unfortunately, this is not so.

Right now, it appears that (given my example) you can tag "german shepherd" and it will list the image as a subgroup of "dogs" but unless you also tag the image specifically with the word "dogs" the blacklist feature will not come into effect. It follows then that if I really wanted to blacklist all "dogs", I would have to blacklist the words "doges", "german shepherd", "terrier", and "laborador"

Good work thusfar. Thank you guys & girls, this is a great site!

    Gandalf

Hey, I just saw your comment. It doesn't feel like it's fixed. It's still low FPS. Like I said, it was perfectly smooth on wallbase.cc. Also, we had color and color+keyword search feature on wallbase.cc. Are those going to be added?

  • 828

I am pretty sure this is discussed elsewhere but are there any plans in integrating the function when clicking an image launches it in a NEW tab instead of the same window?

  • 829

1sagain We all ready have this feature. Go to: Settings > Browsing

  • 830

@Sandman: there's no such thing as "subtags" here. It would be unusual for a wall of, say, a terrier to not also be tagged #dogs and so be covered by such a blacklist. Of course, this relies on properly tagged walls, but so are a lot of things.

Aorom: I think this might be a simple rendering issue if the page becomes longer and longer - it's displaying a whole load of thumbs. I went through a few hundred pages the other day and got a memory and lag spike unusual for Chrome. Search by colour is planned but still some way down the road.

Is there any way of setting nsfw as disabled by default while searching but be able to see them in subsciptions? Don't want to have nsfw walls popping out when I go to latest or random, as I do that quite often. But subscriptions I do less often, as I know some may be nsfw. However, need to be changing settings all the time. An option to change purity in subscriptions would be fine too

  • 832

Hey folks. Just got back in. When coming across an image tagged as SFW, and then I click the Sketchy, I get a popup now that says "Message - Something went wrong" and then gives an OK button.

  • 834

juvian, Funny you ask about this now. I added a button to subscriptions to do just that! Expect to see it in the next update.

greech, are you blocking any scripts? It's also possible you had that image open for so long that your session expired. If you see it happen again, reload the page and try.

AksumkA haha great! Seems won't have to wait much :). Keep up the great work! Also wondering, shoudn't walls in anime category automatically have an anime tag?
