hey! its possible to fix the NSFW photos ? i wont to see them if i dont select the NSFW option

  • 750

Will you be using the original image names for content from Wallbase?

This would go a long way towards eliminating duplicates in local image collections?

Gandalf, MixmasterDesigns As I understood him, he don't want to see NSFW photos, he unchecks them, but they still appear to him on the list. NSFW is often full nude pictures, but he probably don't want to see half nudes aswell, like this one: http://alpha.wallhaven.cc/wallpaper/7847 --- cloth covered body is totally SFW Mixmaster. I mean if that's what you were trying to ask. hehe

It would be good to add an image to favorites and/or collections without opening it. Keep going with the good work :p

In the ratio options, I see both 16:9 and 16:10- likewise with the resolution there is 1920x1080 and 1920x1200. But in the dual-screen resolutions, there is only 32:9 and 3840x1080. Where is the love for 32:10/3840x1200? Sure, there aren't many of us with dual 16:10 displays, but we need wallpaper too!

tweak4, we will improve the search soon. Check the under development page.

Wow, at times Wallhaven in Chrome ( version 37.0.2062.120 m (64-bit) ) causes a massive memory leak for some reason.

No clue what's going on, the error console doesn't print anything yet Chrome's task manager shows a massive buildup of memory from 50 MB to over 1 GB in a couple of seconds sometimes when I eg. tries to scroll or interact with the page in any way. (Haven't found out how to reproduce it yet, as it seems to happen a bit randomly)

Then Chrome kills the tab with the usual "He's dead, Jim!"

Weird... It didn't do this a couple of days ago.

Getting the same problem as MixmasterDesigns. I untick "Sketchy" but some are still appearing. I tried signing out and in again, didn't help.

I would really like a slide show feature, both on albums and search results. One that could move to the next image automatically using a timer. Something like http://redditp.com/r/wallpapers, but with the wast library powerful search features of wallhaven.

on infinate scroll, if I add a page param to jump to a certain page (I do this because it eats up too much memory and I refresh and want to be at the same page in search results). The next page that loads is correct, but then subsequent pages load in large jumps, ie; first page 222, second 223, next page 323?

The minimum for NSFW is Unclothed Female nipples and genitalia. If an image has nipples without a shirt between them, make it NSFW. This was wallbase tradition. Seeing a lot of this happening, so can we sort it out.

To all: please remember that because of the fresh start after alpha, we've not been strictly enforcing all rules (just enough for people to know roughly what's what around here). Also, both users and staff are getting used to the (incomplete) system, so yes, there are lots of wrongly categorised and poorly tagged walls for now.

@teodor: if you mean an app, we have no plans for one in the near future. That's the kind of thing we'd look into once the site is pretty much complete and there's a suitable developer for the job.

jfinch: we'll look into a method for the system to go through the archive we have of WB's images to eliminate low-res and dupe images. Our dupe detection is a work in progress - as you might have noticed, some things have slipped by since the update.

Twiton: just recently we were discussing how a recent/all-time top list would work. It'll take some time.

kwazap: we do have the corresponding pages for the images we harvested from WB, and a while ago discussed some way for the system to read tag, source etc. data from them, but the main task is just importing 1.6m unsorted images.

As for finding untagged images, I expect we'll add a way to find a pool of them easily. Of course, this shouldn't affect new uploads once minimum tags per image are in place.

cbarrick: we're already pretty transparent about development IMO. Potential devs just need to ask to get involved. One of the points literally from day one was collaborative, semi-open development.

@Clamdoctor: if you're very comfortable with the tools mentioned on the FAQs then drop AksumkA a line.

When clicking in a wallpaper, make it open a new browser tab!

  • 764

Here's an idea. A button for just one absolutly random wall.

  • 766

When you click on a photo to view them it should open up on a new tab. When we click back it reloads us at the top of the page. :(

Geremy888, if you'd scroll down 3 comments you would find your answer.

One of my wallpapers was deleted, with just the ID, and no reason given. There should always be a reason given when deleting something.

memories We're gonna make the info messages a little more elaborate in the future.

firstly sorry for my english.. when I like some pics and want to download it, always try a "similar wallpaper" options to find a same pics in different resolution, ratio or quality (list by a similarity %) and always choose bigger one.. but now this options gone.. :-/ maybe its not easy and some serious image processing work is this, absolutely have no idea, but its too usefull for me.. is that possible enable this feature again? thanks..

@rehctawatcher: account recovery is on the to-do list. You could subscribe to a user's collections if you only want to see some of what they upload, if they've chosen to sort them. We're trying to keep the tagging system functional yet usable, so the hierarchical one you describe isn't likely. Arranging tags into categories is already a hard and ongoing task. Tagging from thumbs might be a good idea, but it could also be inaccurate if users aren't looking at the full image.

kdot: check the about page for details about WB. It's about as much as we know.

NuRsAk, Fabricio: please see my last comment.

abaesh: we can't enable it because I don't think that feature was ever here, only on Wallbase. We have a grouping system which is supposed to collect different versions of the same image. What we're trying to do just now is find a way to detect duplicate images properly, which might make it easier for a "similar" function.

Hey devs! I've been tagging a bit since I joined and thought of a suggestion. Can we please make it so the uploader must add at least one tag per upload?
