Happy New Year everyone and best of luck for 2015! Keep on sharing awesome, crispy quality wallpapers guys!

I'm seeing a LOT of square shaped images as well as ones that are taller than they are wide. I'm not sure what good these are for wallpapers, but its kind of annoying to sift through them when looking at the recently posted images. I'm not sure if there's a policy about this, but I'd personally prefer that posting be limited to images that are actually usable as wallpapers and not just any random images.

As sort of a temporary solution to the sudden massive influx of horrible quality/size non-wallpaper images being posted I had an idea. Let us hide all posts from specific users. Just blocking Sekban and Defalt would double the quality of the "Latest" button.

OnyxShadow: Why would we disallow square and portrait wallpapers? There are people out there who still use 4:3 monitors and there are people who have their monitors in portrait mode and don't forget that portrait wallpapers can also be used as phone backgrounds.

@amuse: I initially thought, like you, that I would wait until after the Alpha mode ended until I started uploading walls. However, I figured why not just share what I have so everyone who visits has something new to look at, and possibly add to their collection. Besides uploading here is very easy.

EstebanMitnick: if you mean blacklisting a user's uploads, not yet, but we might consider it.

@amuse: read around - we have no ETA other than sometime this year. We have enough uploaders who don't mind doing it all again, but yeah, I'm sitting on walls too for beta.

As for black marks on a user like you describe, the manual method is working well so far. Staff comment on profiles of users who are disobeying rules, so everyone knows what they've been warned about and how much. At strike two or three it's a ban. Right now we're really focusing on bigger features.

OnyxShadow: if a wall is poor quality, report it. As chibi said, some ratios suit some users - we're more concerned about quality. As I told Esteban, we're considering adding the ability to blacklist users.

i know u dont have an eta except sometime this year... i just wanna say that maybe you should consider putting a countdown or a warning a week before it goes live so ppl have time to save their favs (i mean an obvius one on the home page)

Amine We are not wallbase and we are not attempting to be a clone. This is a new site.

nandor90 Everything will be gone, including wallpapers, tags, user accounts and the data associated with it. We will, however, import our packed up wallpapers from wallbase after the wipe.

SEMMERLING: the tag categories are there to function as the site requires, not represent everyone's interests. As you might have noticed, we have something of a surplus here of pictures of ladies whose talent is looking nice (YMMV), so for the time being we deem it necessary to have the categories we do for them. There isn't a slew of scientists and other thinkers among the walls, so for now Other (to become Other Figures) will do. Until more people start getting boners for knowledge, it'll have to do.

SEMMERLING While I agree it's a shame people of intellect are so sorrowly underapprciated in our society, I can't help but doubt their being wallpaper material. Wallpapers are about looks, models are about looks. Scientists are not, nor should they be. I value a high IQ in people I interact with, but not necessarily in people I only look at. I have been trying to create tags, such as, the name of the individual in the wall. However, I keep getting the message "Something went wrong"

gatosardina Problem is that we have tons of duplicates and other corrupted data that is pretty much impossible to sort out. Doing a reset once we have smoothed out all the major bugs will allow us to get rid of all the bad ones at once.

God i love it when some random user batch uploads 10 resized low quality wallpapers from deviant art.
