For the past few days the site has been slow/sluggish for me. I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue? I have had no problems with any other sites.

When is the alpha stage going to end. I finally made an account to ask that haha. I didn't want to sink to much time here knowing that they're probably going to wipe everything when they fix everything. Been like a year, I think.

kdr: proper spelling in general when tagging is the important thing. It's less of a problem having to Americanise things.

JB00GIE: yes, at least a few of us. The server's been struggling and we've not settled on a new one to migrate to.

We've just kicked the site over to use CloudFlare to hopefully take some stress off our server and speed up the site. We'll see how this works out for us.

We're also getting close to having another update ready! If all goes well, you can expect it to hit sometime this month.

Hello Wallhaven, I was a big fan of wallbase and just read that you're now doing this splendid site. On the development page I read that you're planning on having an API eventually, which I want to applaud, having a huge wallpaper collection on your harddrive is soooo 2010 :-) But an API means of course large amounts of traffic (if you're not considering putting the whole archive in a torrent) , which in turn means high upkeep costs. So, keeping that in mind, I would very much like it if you would create some kind of premium account for users that either contribute with a one-time payment, or if that doesn't cover the costs, with a monthly fee of maybe 3-5$, and these users then get access to the API.

I use John's Background Switcher http://johnsad.ventures/software/backgroundswitcher/windows/ which I think is the best wallpaper tool out there and if I could connect from that tool via the API to a random search (optionally without NSFW when mom visits g) that would be heaven for me and would be worth a lot to me. But I don't know if this site is just a pet-project for you guys or if it's more, I just wanted to remind you that not everybody wants everything for free. Thx again

@soymasdur: download them to your device. Yes, you'll have to download them individually, and no, we don't currently have plans for mass downloads.

bubblenuts: we plan to have this covered - see the links in the notice.

Troik: it is just a pet project, albeit one we're pretty dedicated to. We have no plans for any kind of premium service - we've not even decided how ads might work when the site is "done", and it would make the issue of copyright more complicated. We'll worry about API-related traffic when there's actually an API. There'll be plenty of optimisation and server considerations to make before then anyway. Thanks for your support, though - maybe we'll accept donations eventually if you're that keen to throw money at us.

Hey everyone, just glad to join the community. I uploaded a set of science themed/typography based wallpapers. They look great if you download the set and set them to rotate automatically (in windows -> highlight all and set to background) Hope you enjoy!

To everyone reporting walls, especially duplicates: a lot of reports either have nothing to do with the rules, or are reporting dupes without stating the ID of the original wall. Come on, kids!

Not sure how many other people have experienced this, but when I click on random it says there's no results, but when I log out and do the same thing, it shows results. Is this just a bug in the Alpha version or something?

chibi Chr1s71aN Most downloaded isn't planned. Most viewed and most favorited already exist, you just have to adjust the sorting on an empty search. The planned toplist will try to keep track of most faved/viewed in the past few days.

Hi, maybe this is still reportet. Sometimes when you tag a picture, the tag appears twice. I found some pictures with double tags. Unfortunately, i have no example.
