About the "lolicon" rule...

The character Momo Yaoyorozu from the series "Boku no Hero Academia" is a minor - 15 when first introduced, and currently in the continuity she's only 16. Last I checked, full nudes with visible nips and such of an underage character constitutes lolicon, and the rules (unless I'm interpreting it wrong) led me to believe posting such was a no-no.

Rule #1's subsection on sexual content specifies "Child pornography (including lolicon/shotacon)" and I admit I'm not at all familiar with the anime/manga scene, though I thought nudes of underage characters fall under that. So, trying to be a good member, I reported the wallpapers in question featuring nude images of minor characters, but I got notifications that they'd been cleared.

Am I not understanding the definition here? Even if I think it's weird, if it's allowed I'm not gonna be a dick and keep reporting them when I see them. The clarification would be handy. Thanks in advance.

I believe lolicon/shotacon in this instance refers broadly to characters where it's patently obvious they are significantly below the age of majority. So, characters that are very obviously below the age of 13, or have physical characteristics consistent with someone below the age of 13.

I feel the reasons things get confusing is because of the sheer number of anime characters with bodies that wouldn't look out of place in multiple age groups. You can hold up a picture of one and have no idea if she's 15, 21, or 35 just by looking. Sure, the lore may state Anime Girl #37 is canonically 15, but there's another character from the same or another franchise with the same shape figure who is 31 and a mom of three. And of course, I seriously doubt that the mods and admins have an eidetic memorization of the lore behind every anime in existence, nor do they have a large book labeled "Anime Girls & Their Canonical Ages." So all they can really do is look at an image and either go "That looks like a 10yo, into the trash it goes" or "This girl could be anywhere from 15-35, it stays."

OK, counter argument - the kind of person who is searching for a specific character from a specific anime likely is very familiar with the individual character and, by extension, details about that character - like age. I mean simply saying "But your honor, she looked over 18" isn't an argument that holds up in court. Should I start including a link to the character wiki in my comment when I report it? Or should I just say "fuck it" and stop caring :/

You'll need a mod to answer that. Perhaps they would be okay with deleting a pic if provided a lore citation proving the character is underage, or perhaps they prefer to just use their own independent judgment. I don't know, I'm not one of them.
