@oliver87: if you mean search by colour, yes, this is a planned feature.

Is it possible to add a sort by date range system, like for example:

sort by "views" from November 1, 2014 to December 6, 2014 or sort by "favorites" from January 3, 2015 to January 4, 2015

Also is it possible to add a face or person recogniser, and add it next to the SFW/Sketchy/NSFW options? (Like the one google uses in their image options.)

I don't know if anyone has thought of this yet, but I think a good addition would be to add a "Tagged" little indication when uploading, for when you've already tagged a wallpaper. This helps when you upload in bunch.

And a small response to the NSFW things bellow - it's always been like this. If you don't like NSFW stuff, just disable it from your account, that's why the setting is there. Also, I believe NSFW is disabled by default when you register, or at least it was with me. Jeesus, people, grow up, some men just like boobs in the morning, other don't. Has nothing to do with Wallhaven turning into a XXX joint.

After login, I cannot use the site. If I try to use random or latest, I am always met with 'Whoops, looks like something went wrong.'

BDigital: You set your aspect ratio in your settings incorrectly. We're not yet checking for good values, so this is easy to break.

I updated your settings to use the correct format (16x9, not 16:9). I expect some later update will check those fields for legal values and fix things like this.

Just helping in your alpha state. Site looks good. Your "latest" button defaults to include "sketchy" content. Further when one removes it and has only "SFW" selected and refreshes the content doesnt seem to change.

Is there any way to take these to use on your own computer?

hello, I’ve got something strange : even if I clear all my subscriptions, 2 wallpapers are still shown. and when i click on them, i fall on a « We didn't find what you are looking for! » page....... One small bug ??

cyrain it's a minor bug. the wallpapers you are seeing are deleted currently ignored when clearing subscriptions.

Black background on root page would be better I think

As you can see the version of the image uploaded have been cut at the top to cut off the artist's original credit text. At the upper left corner a couple of white pixels from the artist's credit can still be seen that was missed in the cutting process.

The rules specify:

Respect copyright. Attribute the author wherever possible. Do not upload content from banned sources.

Though that doesn't go into whether or not a source link to the left (which was missing btw until I added it) is enough to allow removal of artist's original credit text in the images being uploaded.

Aemony We can't check every upload for copyright complicance so we kinda have to rely on people not being dicks about it. Even if someone uploads a wallpaper with chopped of copyright they often do it either to make the wallpaper fit a certain resolution or they even just found the wallpaper that way somewhere else. Credit texts aren't always something you want on your desktop but some folks just aren't savvy enough to cut them off themselves.

Our policy is "keep things until people complain". Unless uploaders actually falsly claim they created what they upload, we hope that is enough. Though personally I'd like to make adding correct sources a lot more prominent.

Why are there a bunch of fighter/attack jet aircrafts with this tag?

Recently I uploaded an image from the Cabin in the Woods:

• The main characters appeared inside the switching glass cages of the monsters, with standard HD resolution of 1920x1080.

I asked cfunk why it was taken down, but no comment. So I'm guessing that it was because it contained 'spoilers'(?). Just wanted to clarify if that was the case.

JT42 We don't delete wallpapers for containing spoilers. If your wallpaper wasn't low quality and didn't break any rules, it was most likely a duplicate. Since our dupe detection doesn't really work yet we have tons of duplicates floating around.

scft Thanks for your feedback search by image: We've thought about it. Dupe detection has a very high priority right now and once that works we'll probably have other, pressing things to take care of. But I'm pretty sure we'll get to it some day ;D search syntax: I'd like that, too. The search is just getting a major overhaul (bfoxwell replaced the engine behind it) so hopefully we'll be able to do something like that soon. No promises yet, though. better sources We're likely gonna improve the way sources are handled in the future. mass download This is tricky. It has been requested before and we may implement some way to download small collections. The problem is that zipping thousands of wallpapers and storing them for download will be quite heavy on the server, so we'd have to implement some serious restrictions.

Corvax: someone probably uploaded construction vehicles along with jets and gave them all the same set of tags.

Just out of curiosity, if I have the people category turned off for browsing why am I still getting porn pictures,models, and head shots of musicians when I browse?
