For all the time I've been using the site, 4 years, I still can't understand how the rules work, nor the logic of the administration. When you need to get a permanent ban, although it's not clear anywhere how many bans you still need to get, and for what specifically, in order to get a permanent one. When the administrator is to blame, the situation is muddled up, or simply ignored. Poor-quality copies are deleted, but when someone from the administration uploaded them, they are magically "allowed". And in general, what the hell does the administration have a bypass tool when uploading to the site?
For example, just now, on 06.01.2026, in response to a report, I received the message "Info: Higher resolution, but smaller field of view => both allowed.". https://wallhaven.cc/w/1kj7m3 and https://wallhaven.cc/w/p888d3 Interestingly, the quality is the same, the photo is cropped, and the file size is larger... And it's done in a banal and simple way - we go into the standard Windows 11 application, edit the photo size, and then specify "quality", and we get a larger file size with the same quality. And now, knowing all this information, the question arises - why does the site administration rely on the size of the photo, when it can be artificially increased, and not on the actual quality? The last question is especially addressed to "lumberjacck", who likes to do this in this way.
