Regarding the "eyes hidden" tag

    Hey guys!

There's been a tag named "eyes hidden" that has been deleted recently. It was used (by me as well) for pics of people where:

(yes, Ura Pechen is the champion of such shitty photos)

There is a misunderstanding in the rules (and in some staff members as well, I guess) regarding the fact that tags may be used not only to include content (as when searching) but to exclude content as well (when lazy-browsing the walls catalog).

So, considering all of the above, there IS a need for a tag like "eyes hidden" to filter out content that the user doesn't want. I like to look a girl in the eye and perceive her as a whole, not just some random body parts, if you know what I mean. =)

Maybe the name "eyes hidden" isn't very well-fitting for the purpose, but can we together come up with an appropriate tag (or maybe several tags) to handle these situations?

This tag was mostly used excessively, like when a person was photographed from behind or the whole face was unseen. Make no sense for me.

Let's be honest, there's a ton of shitty tags here. One or two extra tags won't make any notable difference. But those tags could make a good filter once I put them in the ignore list. 👍

Could that be "eyes not seen" for photos with the cropped face or "face not seen" for photos from behind and photos of body parts? For photos from behind there's "rear view", but in some of them the head is turned towards the camera, I wouldn't like to exclude those.

What about "head not seen" if the entire head is cropped out?

Actually, I know for sure that there's at least one person who actually GIVES a shit about this tag. It's the dude that keeps removing it from where I've added it. =)

I agree that the current naming is not clear at all. So, dude, please help me come up with a proper name instead of "eyes hidden"? "Eyes not seen", "eyes not visible", whatever?..

I added them as aliases, I think "eyes hidden" is pretty clear. But it should only be used when the hidden eyes are a part of the photo intent, not random shots of people from behind or closeups with no connection to the eyes.

Actually, that's kinda not what I wanted. 🙂

I want to filter them all out using a tag: whether it's a photo from behind (but photos from behind when looking over the shoulder are OK); or the photo is taken too close so that part of the face is cut off; or the hair is intentionally covering the eyes (I guess the "hair over eyes" fits well in this case; "eyes hidden" in the way you mention it could be too); or the face is in the dark so you can't see the eyes (definitely an "eyes hidden").

In other words, anything where a person is present while their eyes are not.

I guess I'll try to go with a more general "person's eyes not seen" for all these cases: https://wallhaven.cc/tag/168378 We'll see if it fits for the purpose. 🤔

And boom, someone has merged my new tag into "eyes hidden".

So, "eyes hidden" is not intended for general cases where the eyes are not seen, but every possible general tag is now an alias within "eyes hidden".

I guess, there's no way for having the tag I need. Very, very sad.
