Hi guys, I feel pretty miserable right now and it doesn't help that I've got a migraine going.

So I created some AI based wallpapers and uploaded them. I literally spent days taking real photos around my area, generating tons of images, refining them, overlaying it over my photos, photoshopping, making Blender 3D scenes for backgrounds, etc. I'm talking about ones like these:

[https://wallhaven.cc/w/yq7kxk] (The background is a photo I took from a local beach)

When I uploaded them I forgot to tag it with "AI Art" as one of the first ones I uploaded wasn't actually AI art: [https://wallhaven.cc/w/gwz1pd].

The background in the above photo was generated using Blender 3D and then the photo of Alina Lando was carefully blended over the render, adding shadows, etc.

I think the reason they were deleted was due to me missing the AI tag. I feel pretty devastated as I only upload my own work to Wallhaven (exclusively to Wallhaven) and I put so much effort into them. I've been a 10 year long user and I thought I had a pretty good handle on what is seen as a low quality wallpaper.

My question is, are these deleted wallpapers gone or can they be restored if tagged appropriately? Also, should I perhaps upload my wallpapers somewhere else first and the ask moderators whether it is okay to upload it here before going through all the trouble of tagging it?

Also: I'm assuming even if the picture is only 30% AI art it should still be marked as AI Art?

Anyway, have a good evening as I'm going to sleep now, thanks for what is still the greatest wallpaper site on the internet!

Can't help but: using photos, photoshop, and 3d software isn't really AI, it's just digital art. You shouldn't need "ai" tags if it's made from photos and 3d models and 2d artwork and composited (joined+edited) into a final image.

AI is more like: you enter in some prompt/text in a program or website, it generates content off of millions/billions of sample images and does some voodoo. Which can still be a LOT of time and effort to get just right, but can also just be lazy and still get an image.

in either case, spending days/hours does not necessarily mean good quality. Just like higher resolution (more pixels!) isn't good quality. The lighting and shadows on the above 2 are not the best, but overall it's not terrible. Not sure about the deleted

I know what AI art is, many of the images I posted did have AI art in them although they were "composed" and not fully AI.

Can you understand why I'm frustrated though when images like these are allowed and mine isn't?

Anyways, I've asked that all my previous wallpapers be deleted as I no longer wish to contribute my work here. Thanks for giving your input anyway.

No, the administrator who removed it specifically said it is not up to standard for the site. What is deemed quality is often up to the administrator's whims and current mood. I put a lot of effort into my tagging, even more than the admin who deleted my wallpapers.
