I want Inspirational as a tags instead of motivational aliases.

While I was uploading and adding a tag to each post, I came across "deleted" inspirational tags, which can't be used.

So, I looked for another way to see if there are other tags similar to inspirational, and I came across the tag called "motivational." As I looked into motivational tags, I saw inspirational in aliases. Motivational and inspirational are two different meanings.

    1. "relating to the reason or reasons for acting or behaving in a particular way."

    2. "designed to promote the desire or willingness to do or achieve something."

    1. "providing or showing creative or spiritual inspiration."

Motivational is for 'feeling' to get excited or confident to overcome the obstacle, while Inspirational is for 'knowledge' to showcase your creation or influence on a person.

    Conclusion:

None of the sites that I find very useful at all. All of them have multiple meanings, yet they continually change and evolve. Only two Google searches, for which I provided the links, are sufficient for me to explain.

What I found more useful is my dictionary book, titled "Macquarie Pocket Dictionary 4th Edition."

Inspiration: n. 1. an inspiring action or influence, person or thing, as a divine influence brought to bear on a person. 2. something inspired, as a thought. 3. the drawing of air into the lungs; inhalation. 4. the act of inspiring. 5. the state of being inspired. -inspirational, adj.

Motivation: n. 1. a set of motives for action; a providing of motives; inducement. -motivational, adj.

The line between these too meanings is too thin and the situations where they would apply are too subjective.

I understand your point about the line between 'motivational' and 'inspirational' being thin, but I believe there is still a meaningful distinction between the two. 'Motivational' relates more to encouraging action and overcoming obstacles, while 'inspirational' is about providing knowledge, creativity, or influence. While they may overlap in some cases, their core purposes differ.

I’m not saying one is superior to the other, just that they serve different roles. Were you saying that you disagree with my explanation, or do you just think the difference is too subtle to matter in practical use?

I don't disagree with your explanation, I think it's not practical for use. Even "motivational" is a stretch for a tag as it isn't a tangible enough concept for an image.

Okay, I understand. Can we let people decide whether to use the tag "Inspirational" and leave it at that? As you mentioned, "it's not practical for use." Some may agree with using "Inspirational" as a tag, while others may disagree.

It would take time, but I want to hear what others think.

One post I find most inspirational is by Albert Einstein.

The tags have already been merged and the tag "inspirational" cannot be created again.
