I really like the aesthetic of pictures that look like classical paintings, but have fun anachronisms. These are two prime examples:

    1920 x 108024

    1600 x 86627

Other examples include Jason Heuser's paintings with presidents riding animals/cars while shooting guns. (Lincoln on a bear 😂) It doesn't always have to be action oriented. (Note the quiet AT-AT example)

Is there a term for that particular aesthetic of digital paintings with anachronisms? If not, it really should be given a name. "Pop Anachronism"? idk.

I've been going on a search and found other artists such as David Pollot.

(and perhaps to a lesser degree Lizustration. Not exactly the same feel, but nothing that goes against the idea of paintings and pop culture)

So, you like humorous or comedic wallpapers that reference movies and pop culture, that are drawn in the style of serious classical oil paintings on canvas?

GenreLeap Ya, for the most part. It doesn't have to be humorous. (Like the AT-AT picture), but I guess anachronistic stuff is often humorous.

    LostError maybe, ya
