Wait! I'm curious about the evidence you have! What is it and what are you going to do with it?

That'd be all those posts of yours tagged "ai art." I'm making fun of your dipshit claim that you don't refer to your trash as art.

You're almost too slow to bully, but you think so fucking much of yourself. It's wild.

I just posted some more images.

I really wish I could block it from my subscriptions.

Like, why make an AI image of jinx:

    loading
    5824 x 326435

when there are a 1000s of real hand-made artworks just like it, that you could have posted instead.

It's so clear that the AI is taking all these original pieces of art, smooshing them together and making the most generic derivative.

Example 3 is an "AI Art". LostError

ForestMimic But anyway, if you don't like "AI Art", just uncheck the "AI Art" tag in searches...

Instead of annoying people here unnecessarily...

The whole point of this thread, and why new threads about it are made constantly, is that you can't block it from SUBSCRIPTIONS!!.

There is no toggle in subscriptions.

Subscriptions are a core reason why people come back to the site, and it's getting ruined by unavoidable low effort AI images.

Why are you people so dense? Why can't you read? Why can't you think?

I have blocked ai art. I have blocked alx and all the other spammers. They still show up in my subscriptions. I don't think it's a coincidence that the dumbest people I've ever met on the internet are ai art fans posting "why don't you just ignore our endless deluge of trash?"

I don't care if they don't show up in my subscriptions. Just don't pretend you make art, architecture, or anything of value.

An argument would require that Alx had a position and was smart enough to make a defense of it. Alx stands for nothing.

Must suuuuuck to see something you don't want to see, huh? Why don't you just use that ai blocking button on the browse page? Pretty sure that'll solve your issue.

    Please moderators...

The whole problem with blocking AI art in this website is that there is no repercussion for not tagging AI art as AI art. It's extremely exhausting that everyone says "you must add the tag" but I've added so many to people's pictures that they should be banned for abusing the website rules. Either enforce your rules or just accept that the rules aren't worth anything.

If anyone wants to tell me to "go somewhere else" as a reply to this very objective and respectful critique, mind that some people want to give others chances to fix their promises. Wallhaven has always been a great site but the surge of AI content is mindbogglingly repetitive, low effort and morally grey. I'm not going to address those talking points here, Just please enforce your rules or tell everyone on the front page that you don't actually care about the rules and anyone can do anything they want. the end goal will be a community of AI content enjoyers, If that is what the owners and mods want.

Respectfully, Picture enjoyer, not a contributor

Can agree. Users like Alx just spam the site with AI garbage. Oh look we also have an AI art wallpaper featured on the front page. This site is going down hill. I wish the moderators took a stronger stance against the AI art that is flooding the site. Is there not a way to curve the upload rate of such users? There is so much AI art that's not tagged it's not even funny.

    ForestMimic thanks for the blacklist

Too bad that it doesn't seem to work in subscriptions nor front page...

While I do understand the decision to keep site closed-source, but it's things like this that make me really want for it to open-sourced instead...

I think there are blunt solutions to the blocking mechanism that haven't really been considered here, but could be implemented with ease if anyone on the team had the will/ability.

The most blunt option is one I've seen on some imageboard sites where they use css-based blocking combined with dumping a list of categories and users into the tags- you could just have it hide images based on your blocklist. It would mess with your notification count, but at least you wouldn't have to see it.

An ai free front page would probably have to be a policy decision unless they really wanted to curate an ai and ai-free list. I don't know how they set that up but surely it's more a lack of will than a major issue. It seems like the site owners are thoroughly on board with ai image generation and don't much care about people who are put off by it.

To actually solve the notifications thing would be a bit harder, depending on the backend architecture. I haven't bothered to investigate what they're using, but my guess would be that it just sends out broad alerts based on the act of labelling an image with a tag, which fits into the way that tags are added now anyway. Depending on what kind of data store they use, querying to limit the users to those who allow specific kinds of tags would probably be a real hassle in terms of the speed and computing costs. I'm guessing this is mostly a shoestring operation.

Tbh, I think it's lack of time and/or motivation rather than approval of AI art (IIRC, AksumkA actually said that he is against AI art).

The same fix you described could be applied to front page as well, e.g. apply blacklist filter by hiding/blurring/overlaying with 'blacklisted' text all affected images. It can be simplified even more by caching all the tags in advance, since front page content is (mostly) fixed (tags could be modified, but IMO it's not a big problem).

Honestly, if it's too much effort to add in an AI art toggle in subscriptions and on the front page, they should just turn off AI art for everyone in subscriptions and on the front page. There are more people who hate AI art then like it.
