Feedback on wallpaper deletion

Hey!

I would just like to know the reasoning behind this wallpaper being deleted as "Low Quality". It has no watermarks, it is for a portrait display like I have here at home and obeys all other rules (as far as I can tell) defined in the rules list.

Has there already been made a bug report for appealing "deletions"? Or any way for a moderator to say why something is considered low quality (at least if asked for it). If so I would like to recommend one in order to prevent 1000s of forum posts like these :)

Dunno why he deleted it, but I would have too. There is clear pixelation around the eyes/nose/hairline, and there is visible noise in the shaded/dark areas. Plus, it has an amateur vibe to it. Providing a source URL might help prove that at least its not an amateur pic.

Also, there is already a mechanism in place to appeal deletions. Talk to a mod/admin.

P.S.: While ever member has the right to appeal a deletion, and a mod/admin will surely do their best to explain them, I don't see why people take every deletion to heart like its a social justice cause that requires a public outcry. A rational PM with a mod/admin would probably be more effective and cathartic.

None of our users should get too upset about the deletion of a wallpaper. Anyone who uploads content onto the site will eventually have one that gets deleted. However, as lezboyd already stated above, users have the ability to appeal a deletion. Even as a member of the staff myself, I have had dozens of my uploads deleted, and I have, in some cases, sent a PM to a senior staff member to ask why? They have always provided me with a prompt, and reasonable explanation.

and wizekid, to simply state that "A lot of the mods upload worse quality" without providing examples is not really fair to us. If you see a wallpaper that was uploaded by one of us, and you feel that it is low quality, then report it, and state a reason why you consider it low quality.
