Question about this rule: "No promotional material (i.e. with large watermarks), red carpet/press event photos"

While I understand the reasoning behind the "No promotional Material" part, I still can't really figure out why red carpet and press event photos are bad. I mean, I would understand if those pictures had huge logos in the background, or if their quality is reduced because the person on it is full derping because the picture was taken while s/he was talking.... But what about "normal" red carpet pictures? You know, those in which the star poses, is taken by a professional photographer and without blatant promotional purpose... Why are those forbidden as well?

Brobafett I don't know that those 'technically' are... it's in the same vein as the other rule.

    = bad because of ads

= bad because all the photographers makes it a pretty shitty pic...(high quality is a goal on this site) If you can find a high quality image that doesn't really contain either of those things, I highly doubt any mod would have a problem...

You could even Photoshop them yourself to make an image more 'wallpaper'-like ...

**PLEASE don't actually upload this image to WH... it's just a quick shitty edit I did to show how easy it is to remove some of these 'issues'... it's not actually HQ
