    negativeone You can go to your browsing settings and change your view filters. There you can enter multiple resolutions and aspect ratios.

    @LanRiin, When you see a wall with the wrong purity, feel free to fix it. These things will happen from time to time, but we will ban users who continue to make poor choices. As for the source, that was set by the uploader. We will make sure sources are valid in a latter update.

    Cryzeen, we do totally care still. We have a bit of a backlog of reports and will work through them shortly.

    Squidgy: we deal with them as we find them, but there are a lot floating around because we've never had a solid dupe detector in place. We won't leave alpha without one, so just now we have to take care of it manually.

    A word on duplicates. I've read in one of admins comments that adding a same wallpaper in different resolution is not a duplicate anymore.. which sounds ridiculous for me. That mean you can change the resolution one pixel and add wallpaper as a fresh one. In my opinion that kind of wallpapers at least shouldn't appear on main site as a new one.

    Nobody does that, I have never seen a wallpaper 1920x1079 for example. However, there are different ratios and if there is the same wallpaper for them why wouldn't it be uploaded. I often see both 1080 and 1050 versions of the same thing. Even within the same ratio there is no reason not to have more versions, sometimes 1440 or even 1080 just doesn't work well on low resolution screens.

    Cryzeen: this isn't a new thing. We've always allowed multiple resolutions. Personally I don't see the need for anything more than the source resolution, but I'm not sure if or when we'll change how we handle this.

    KrimzinZV: I spend most of my life trying to understand what the hell some people are doing on this site.

    @CanisVulpes: the problem with that is how to decide on a threshold, and the fact that some visually simple but not low-quality PNGs can be <100 KB. If you find over-compressed walls, please report them.

    As grateful as I am for all of this.... my selfish side has something to say. Can you guys like, hurry up pls? It's been ages and the site hasn't even entered beta yet. depressing. I see no reason to really use the site atm considering it's all gonna be scrapped soon... sure there are others in the same boat too.

    Serengeti95 All of the great work that the staff has done so far has been done in their free time, which I am sure is in short supply. If you don't see a reason to use the site then that is your choice, but I think that even during this alpha phase, it is very well done and I use it daily.

    Different resolutions of the same wallpaper are only allowed where it makes sense. Keeping a 1920x1081 wallpaper when there's a 1920x1080 version available obviously doesn't make sense. However if there is, for example, a 1920x1080 and a 4000x5000 version available then we may keep both - the former because it is a very common resolution and the latter because it may be the original resolution and offers better quality for people with really big screens.

    Serengeti95 We're still doing this in our spare time and we have lives to take care of. Sometimes development needs to slow down. If you know someone who can/wants to help let us know. ^^

    Just pushed a small update to the site. Mainly bugfixes in this one.

    There were a few small optimizations made here and there, so hopefully a few things should be a little faster. We'll see.
